The Freedom Tower

One World Trade Center, otherwise known as One World Observatory or The Freedom Tower, is the nation’s tallest skyscraper and home of the official 9/11 memorial. A solemn space for many New Yorkers, the surrounding area includes the 9/11 Museum and the 9/11 Memorial, and is collectively known as “Ground Zero.” Visible all over town, this 104-story architectural marvel dominates downtown Manhattan.

Though the One  World Trade Center’s top floor is officially designated as floor 104, here’s a secret: the tower technically only contains 94 stories. The base consists of floors 1–19, including a 65-foot-high public lobby, featuring the 90-foot wide mural ONE: Union of the Senses by American artist José Parlá. Noted for its bright colors, this is the largest painting in all of New York City!

Once inside the enormous building, the program begins in the lobby with “Voices” –  a testimonial film from the people who built The Freedom Tower. Guests then take the “Sky Pod” elevator which pops 1,250 ft up into the sky  in a mere 60 seconds!

Next, guests step onto the three story observation deck to take in the spectacular New York City Skyline. Not to mention you might be lucky enough to see HeliNY flying by!
