Senior A&P Technician - Linden, NJ

Job Description:  

HeliNY (Helicopter Flight Services) is looking for an experienced Full-Time Senior A&P Technician in our Linden, NJ facility.  

We require an experienced technician to serve in a leadership role and as a repair coordinator. The technician will also provide hands-on maintenance work performing repairs and maintenance in accordance with applicable FAA regulations and Manufacturer’s instructions. Individual; must possess excellent technical skills, foster a true team-based approach, possess a strong work ethic, and have management experience. Training and mentorship to junior staff is also a key component of this role. 

In addition to maintaining our own fleet, we are an authorized Part 145 Repair Station and Standard Aero Service Center for the Roll Royce M250 and RR300 engines. 

HeliNY is also expanding as an organization and developing new work for our growing fleet.

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate.
  • Minimum 5 Years helicopter maintenance experience.
  • Experience serving as a Team Leader, or similar capacity with responsibility for daily repair and maintenance coordination. 
  • Demonstrated organization and project management experience.
  • Management of daily Maintenance Board, daily prioritization, and handover reporting to evening staff and company management.
  • Interface with Parts Coordinator for proactive ordering of replacement parts.
  • Assist Director of Maintenance (DOM) on critical support issues.
  • Provide information and interact with senior management in place of DOM when needed.
  • Experience with Bell 407 or 427.
  • Experience with Airbus AS350 B2/B3 or EC130 and EC155 a plus.
  • Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen prior to being hired and position requires random DOT drug and alcohol testing.
  • Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, but must be available evenings & weekends as required.

 

Benefits: 

  • Salary negotiable based upon experience ($85,000-$115,000). 
  • Dental, Vision & Health Insurance (UHC Oxford) with employee contribution; 2 months waiting period.
  • 401k company contributions are 25% of deferrals up to 6% of employee pay.
  • Paid vacation; up to 20 days dependent upon years of service.
