More than just NYC: Places to visit on your trip to New York this Summer

We like to admit we fly over and live in the most fascinating city in the world. Our beautiful city is surrounded by equally majestic locations New Yorkers and tourists alike can escape to during the dense summer months. Here’s our top choices. We hope you get some fun in the sun this summer!

Bear Mountain, New York
Bear Mountain State Park is situated in rugged mountains rising from the west bank of the Hudson River. The park features a large play field, shaded picnic groves, lake and river fishing access, a swimming pool, Trailside Museums and Zoo, hiking, biking and cross-country ski trails.

East Hampton, New York
The Town of East Hampton is located in southeastern Suffolk County, New York, at the eastern end of the South Shore of Long Island. East Hampton is dedicated to preserving its history, open space, and other cultural aspects; and there are many museums, theaters, and galleries within each hamlet that help support these goals. Leisure activities include hiking, biking, boating, fishing, hunting, health and fitness (fitness centers and spas) are available in each hamlet as well.
Whether you are taking a quick trip to the airport or heading to the Hamptons for the weekend, a helicopter charter offers a quick, easy and comfortable alternative for travel in and out of the New York City area.

Beacon, New York
Beacon, New York is about 90 minutes north of New York City. It features the huge contemporary art museum, Dia:Beacon. It also has galleries and shops along the quaint Main Street. You can take the Metro-North commuter rail and walk into town. A former Nabisco box-printing facility on the banks of the Hudson, Dia:Beacon holds collections from the 1960s to the present. Exhibitions meld with works on long-term view from artists including Louise Bourgeois, Donald Judd and Dan Flavin.

New Hope, Pennsylvania
New Hope is Bucks County’s jewel. The borough of New Hope provides an example of how an old town whose economy was based on industry has morphed into a community that draws its strength from the arts, tourism, and a unique spirit of independence and nonconformity. Today, New Hope has the image of a tourist town with a heritage profound in its roots in theater, art and the antiques trade.
