Cancellation & Rescheduling policy

If you need to cancel your flight, we require you to email or call our office in advance at (212) 355-0801. If you cancel your flight within 72 hours, it is non-refundable.

No refunds on the blackout periods below: Only credit towards a future flight, which must be used within one year from the purchase date.

Blackout Dates – Refund Policy – To ensure fairness to all customers, we have implemented a no-refund policy during blackout periods, as these dates are in high demand and cancellations may affect others’ ability to book. In addition, in advance of high-demand periods, HFS makes advance arrangements with internal staffing and multiple suppliers and partners, thus, we are unable to accommodate refunds during blackout periods. Customers may reschedule their flights with no additional charge within 12 months from the cancellation date.

  • April 14th – May 31st
  • June 15th – September 15th
  • November 20th – January 5th

 

Cancellations and Reschedules outside of blackout dates are subject to the following restrictions:

  • Cancellations outside of the 72 hours prior to flight can be refunded but a credit card refund processing fee will be applied.
  • Changes to flights between 72 – 48 hours prior to flight are non-refundable but can be rescheduled up to a year from original purchase date, no fee applies.
  • Changes to flights between 48 – 24 hours prior to flight are non-refundable but can be rescheduled to any time for a $50pp fee.
  • Changes within 24 hours prior to flight are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

PASSENGER SAFETY & SECURITY

HeliNY, verifies passenger names, booking details & weights. A valid government issued ID must be presented for all passengers. 

For charter flights, baggage weight & dimensions are confirmed to ensure that they are within safety specifications.

 

Our ground crew is trained to ensure all passengers meet flight requirements. For the safety of all our passengers and crew, we reserve the right to prohibit passengers from flying who are unruly, intoxicated, disruptive, or otherwise unfit to fly.

HeliNY is committed to promoting a culture of safety for employees by conducting regular training of ground crew in connection with ground operations and all procedures at heliports and airports when loading and unloading aircraft.
