St Patrick's Day NYC

5 Things you can do for St. Paddy’s Day in NYC

Did you know? St. Patrick’s Day is actually more popular in New York than it is in Ireland! It’s a pretty big cause for celebration here in NYC. Here are some of HeliNY’s top picks to join in on the fun this year.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s day with these happenings around NYC:

  1. St. Patrick’s Day Parade

New York goes all-out on St. Patrick’s Day with a huge, very green parade. Starting around 11AM, the parade goes from 44th Street, marching up Fifth Avenue—past St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 50th Street—all the way to 79th Street. It finishes around 5:00PM at the American Irish Historical Society at East 80th Street. Learn more.

2. Join an Irish pub crawl

Not into parades and standing outside in the winter chill? St. Patrick’s Day isn’t St. Patrick’s Day without spirited revelers and pub crawls. Step inside a warm pub and grab a cold one. The Luck of the Irish St Paddy’s Pub Crawl features bars in a variety of neighborhoods such as the East Village, Murray Hill, Chelsea, and Midtown West – check it out!

  1. Visit the Tenement Museum
